I am running for Mayor of Henderson County because I believe our community deserves leadership that is energetic, forward thinking, and deeply committed to the everyday people who make this county home. I will coordinate with all departments for the benefit and growth for all of Henderson County.
As someone who grew up here, was educated here, and now teaches the next generation here, I see firsthand both the strengths of our county and the opportunities we have to do what must be done. I want to help build a future where Henderson County’s residents not special interests, not political insiders - are the ones who benefit from local government.
One of my greatest motivations comes from the students I teach every day at Scotts Hill High School. Their curiosity, creativity, resilience, humor, and sense of hope continually impress me. The future of Henderson County is sitting in my classroom every morning. My love for my students is one of the driving forces behind my decision to run. When I look into their faces, I’m reminded of the responsibility we all share to create a community they can be proud of, a place where they can build fulfilling lives without having to leave home to chase opportunity.
I also believe it’s time to bring more young people into local politics. For far too long, many younger residents have felt disconnected from the political process, unsure of whether their voices matter. I want to change that. As a young, energetic, and passionate candidate, I hope to show the next generation that their ideas are valuable, their involvement is essential, and their leadership is needed right now, not twenty years down the road. My goal is to reshape our political culture into one that listens to residents, values transparency, and works tirelessly for ordinary families.
I want a government that reflects the character of Henderson County: hardworking, honest, and committed to doing what’s right. My own family’s story has taught me the importance of serving the people around me. I will lead as County Mayor because I love this county, I believe in its people, and I want to help build a brighter future for the next generation. Henderson County has given me so much, and now I feel called to give back by working every day to make our home stronger, more united, and filled with opportunity for all.
As mayor, I promise to lead with a refreshing sense of candor and transparency, fairness and justice, purpose and prayer - that is what the people of Henderson County deserve.
